Kitchen designed and installed for Mr and Mrs H, Bingham Nottinghamshire NG13

The Brief

Mr and Mrs H wanted help with making their dream kitchen a reality.

They wanted to be a bit braver and introduce colour into the area whilst ensuring the design was in keeping with their period of house.

Our designer measured, created plans and visuals, we were well prepared for the installation!

The Project

The project began with some building work as the couple were incorporating their garage space to create a larger kitchen/utility area. The old kitchen was ripped out and existing electrical appliances, plumbing and radiators were disconnected. A dividing wall was removed, existing wall and floor coverings were removed and the ceiling and walls made good.

The couple chose Second Nature Fitzroy in Umber and Cashmere. The 18 mm handmade cabinets were also in Cashmere.  I’m sure you’ll agree the two colours really do fit well together !

The worktop and splash backs were created using Moon White granite. The granite was fabricated to include the drainer grooves and window sill. The inlay on the breakfast bar is Dark Ash timber….such a lovely contrast.

The corner sink is a lovely feature, with the under-mounted ceramic sink and Abode chrome Czar neck tap with a spray function.

Neff appliances were the flavour of the day, the couple choosing a full size oven and combination oven which sat neatly in the tall housing units. Matching induction hob and integrated dishwasher finished off the look!

The finished design of the flooring was created using Cavalio Scottish slate vinyl tiles which continued throughout the kitchen and into the utility area.

The utility followed through with the Fitzroy cashmere theme with tall larder units and internal vegetable baskets. A book shelf was made using the cashmere finish creating lots of space for those much used cookery books.

The worktop in the utility was made from Duropal laminate in Walnut, finished with a stainless steel sink and chrome mixer tap.

This was a lovely project to work on, a splash of colour and mix and match of textures!
