New kitchen designed and installed for Mr and Mrs W, Outskirts of Nottingham, NG13
As with most kitchen installations, the process starts with ripping out the old to make way for the new! And it was no different with this kitchen. Cabinets removed along with disconnecting the plumbing and existing appliances. Radiator and power points were relocated to better positions and electrics prepared for new under cabinet lighting and new pendant light fittings above the new island.
In keeping with the style of the property, with the help of one of our designers, the customers chose a classic style solid timber Second Nature Cornell door in Alabaster and handmade cabinets in Lancaster oak. Behind the doors we installed Le Mans corner storage solutions and pull out storage to ensure everything has a place! An internal shaped drawer installed under the sink fitted around the plumbing, a great use of ordinarily a dead space.
The curved feature wall cabinets frames the window beautifully whilst the feature canopy not only hides the extractor but also creates an extra focal point in the room. The island created extra storage and food preparation area, the curved base units reflecting the wall feature.
The beautiful worktop, up stands, splash back and windowsill were created using Kashmir Gold light granite supplied from a local Nottingham firm. The same granite finished off the island. The solid worktop allowed for the drainer grooves to be fabricated and enabled the Abode Matrix sink to be under mounted. The Gosford swan neck mixer tap with built in filter really does finish off the look beautifully.
The customer’s own appliances were re-fitted along with two Miele pyrolytic single ovens (easy clean!) We also created storage around the American style fridge freezer, they really do frame it!
The over all look, fabulous!… so much so, we’ve been back to do their study too!
